the living room | seattle apartment tour

Another Monday, another blog post. How was your week/weekend? This past week was pretty hard to get through with all the smoke… but us Seattleites made it! It was such a relief to be able to open the windows on Saturday when it finally rained. Friday night was a little rough with the passing of RBG (rest in power ♥️ ), but I made Saturday a time for reflection to combat some of those thoughts. H and I ended up watching Dancing with the Stars and Love, Guaranteed as well, haha.

Today I wanted to share part two of my apartment tour! The lighting was so much better this weekend with the clearing of the smoke, so I was able to get the photos!

I love the living room: H and I spend pretty much every night reading on the couch or watching a movie together. H was dead-set on a sectional and when we moved in, we had just missed a huge Ikea couch sale, so all of the ones we wanted were sold out. We pretty much stalked Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp for a week or two before we lucked out on a this cream/beige sectional from Ikea (Ektorp) for $100! The couple who sold it to us was so kind. H and I had to rent a UHaul but it was such a seamless process to move the couch ourselves! #independentwomen

Most of the living room furniture is from H’s old place: the rug, the rattan chair, the glass coffee table… it’s so feminine and so us!

Blanket basket from Ikea as well 🙂 All the fall vibes – peep the multitude of candles and our white pumpkins!

If you saw from my room tour post, my bedroom in this new place is a lot smaller so I had to move the clothing rack to the living room. I kind of love it out here though? In the winter we’ll use it functionally to hang our raincoats (if we even go outside… lol) but for now, it’s purely for decorative purposes 😉

Aaand surprise! We have a bar cart!! This was one of the first things I found on OfferUp and it came new! Also found it on Amazon here and realized we didn’t pay a cheaper price on OfferUp but whatever haha. I put it together myself!! Very happy with the sleek look in our little corner in the living room. H and I can’t wait to put this bar cart to good use when we’re able to have people over 😩 Also we’re still deciding on what to hang above the bar cart… maybe a mirror?
