the bedroom | seattle apartment tour

Hi friends! How was your long weekend? I hope you had took the time to recharge and relax with loved ones. I mainly took Monday off to really not do anything (not even study!), but my roommate and I took each night to watch a movie in the Twilight Saga. Needless to say, I am still all up in my feelings about this series (thank you to everyone who has humored me on Instagram. I’m Team Edward for those who are wondering.)

Anyway! My apartment tour is long overdue; I’ve decided to break up my apartment tour into different blog posts because quite frankly, some parts of the apartment aren’t ready yet. Not that my bedroom is ready 100% (I still can’t decide what I want to do about decorations/wall art, mostly), but it’s the closest to being done.

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you’ve probably seen snippets of my furniture pieces from my old apartment. I really didn’t get anything new for my new bedroom (in fact, I had to move my clothing rack to the living room, haha). It’s a square room (100 sq ft, if I had to estimate!) that gets looovely natural light.

This is what you see right when you walk in! As you can tell… I love white, haha. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to sleep in a non-white bed after discovering that it feels like sleeping in the CLOUDS every night. I love it.

I was actually able to squeeze in my dresser behind the door (shoutout to my old roommate for this brilliant idea!), so thank goodness because there was literally nowhere else it could go. Dresser is the classic Malm from Ikea!

My cozy bookshelf corner! I have a ton of those linen boxes that are storing random things: umbrella, gloves, sunglasses… it doesn’t look the best but it’ll do for now. Peep my rolled-up poster that still needs a frame πŸ˜• Shelf is also from Ikea!

Right next to my bookshelf is my desk! Okay here me out: when I bought this desk and chair, I did not think we would be working from home and that I’d be spending 75% of my day here. It’s definitely not ergonomic, but this is what I’m using before I start my full-time job. Chair and desk are from Ikea, and LOL at my huuuuge monitor my dad ordered for me. 32-inch LG monitor from Amazon. I guess this size is great for when I start working and have to stare at Excel sheets all day πŸ₯΄

P.S. I really intentionally placed my desk so that I had no view of my bed – it makes me more productive, haha.

The only new addition to my bedroom is this rug! The entire apartment is hardwood floors, and honestly, it was getting a little chilly in the mornings so I knew I wanted some sort of rug underneath. I definitely did not measure the dimensions of my room prior to ordering this 8×10 rug, so it pretty much covers the entirety of my room.

Where that photo is taken, I was standing right in front of my closet and mirror, but those don’t need photos πŸ˜‰

And that’s it! My room tour – I honestly love spending time in my room, especially when I turn the fairy lights on. It’s my cozy oasis ☺️

Look out for my dining room and living room tours soon!!

Jen
