see you later, seattle

Hello!!

Wow, January has flown by and it has definitely shaken things up in my normal routine of things! I had anticipated going back to Seattle shortly after the holidays, and then found out, due to some unforeseen circumstances, that I would be moving back to California with my family for the first half of 2022. I was both excited and sad – it had felt like forever since I had hung out ~in person~ with my friends in Seattle, but I was also happy that I’d get to spend more time with family. Alas, I did have to go back to Seattle for the first couple of weeks to pack up the rest of my things and to wrap up loose ends. One of my friends, K, was so so generous and let me crash at her apartment while I was in town, and I am so grateful I was able to see my friends (safely!). A little “see you later, Seattle!” photo diary for ya:

I’m a window-seat gal, forever and always. S/o to the guy next to me who also wanted wing pics and leaned over me after asking for permission, lol
A cozy lil futon set-up! I am… so blessed I’m not a picky sleeper. Slept here for 2 weeks!
Picked up breakfast from Stone Way Cafe! So good and greasy. Yum.
Seattle really blessed me with beautiful sunsets while I was there. That’s no filter!!
I had to go into the office while I was in town since my monitor setup was being packed, but LOOK at these views. I can’t. Mt. Rainer you gorgeous gal!!
Look at her at sunset!!
Another day, another breakfast. This is Old Salt @ Manolin, the Lox sandwich. Definitely spendy for a bagel, but a fantastic treat every once in awhile!!
K has a cat and I’m allergic, but I sooo learned to love this sweet boy. He was such a lovely reading buddy 🤍
Had to swing by my fav donut place with my roomie!!
Made a pit stop at my fav bookstore in Seattle, Elliott Bay Books! (and to look for TO PARADISE, which they were sold out of ☹️)
Also swung by this charming lil used bookstore, Ophelia’s Books!
K and a few of our friends tried the new (ish) Indigo Cow, which is soft-serve ice cream from Hokkaido. We are all biiiig fans.
Again, the sunsets (on a different evening)! Wow.
Went to a little sunset viewing party on a friend’s roof.
hello & see you later, friends!

Talk soon, Seattle! I’ll be back before you know it ☺️
