the ideal internship wardrobe

Hey y’all!

I’ve officially had a week of summer already! I went home for the week and it was nice to be able to be a potato for the week and do nothing. Although, knowing me, I did attempt to be productive by doing a lot of planning, setting goals for myself, and making a list of things I want to accomplish this summer. I’ve finished a few books already too and finally completed all the seasons of Parks and Recreation (I’m going to miss those characters so much!!).

Since my internship orientation starts tomorrow (!!) I was getting ready to plan my outfits for the summer. Most Seattle firms aren’t as formal as you might think – no jeans, but not business professional either. My real struggle is the heat getting to and from work and trying to stay sweat-less, but also battling the air conditioning of the office space 😂 BUT I think from my browsing the J.Crew site, I’ve found some basic pieces that I’m drawing inspiration from. I’ve also been loving Fran’s outfits – she’s also interning this summer and her ‘fits are killer!

I’m not able to purchase all of these pieces, but I do own some similar-looking pieces that will do the trick. I think I definitely need to find myself a pair of black mules though because they are all the rage and they look so cute and comfortable.

I’ve been toying around with the idea of starting the capsule wardrobe lifestyle (if you’re not sure what a “capsule” wardrobe is, Caroline from Un-Fancy is the ultimate queen), so I’ll keep y’all posted.
