ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS

Up to this day, I’ve read Anna and the French Kiss three times.
It only gets better and better with each read.
Honestly, Anna and the French Kiss is probably my favorite book of all time. There are no bounds as to how happy this book makes me. Whenever I’m reading this book, I feel visibly and physically lighter, happier, and in a better mood, even when I’m not in the midst of reading it. The happy feeling lasts throughout my week, and I can’t say enough good things.
Étienne St. Clair forever.

LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR

I remember reading Lola and the Boys Next Door before, and thinking it was amazing, but not quite as amazing as Anna. However, upon reread, I disagree with my past statement. Lola was fabulous. It kept me in that same happy mood, and dear lord CRICKET. What an adorable nerdy nerd. Sigh. And I want to visit San Fran so badly now!!

ISLA AND THE HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Honestly, this one started out great. I was so on board with the feeling that Isla has for Josh–the sensation of having that crush that doesn’t notice you–and then WHABAMM. They’re in love.
There’s something about the innocence in book ANNA and LOLA that isn’t there in ISLA. Stephanie Perkins definitely takes a different turn in ISLA, more new adult, I’d say. I wasn’t the biggest fan of this. Essentially, Isla and Josh’s relationship was too… lusty for my taste.
BUT THE ENDING. Oh the ending was so perrrrfect. It reminded me why I love Stephanie Perkins’ books so much.
