five recent amazon purchases

Hi there!

How are you? I hope everyone on the West coast is staying safe indoors right now from the fires ♥️ The world is a crazy place right now, so I hope y’all are taking care of yourselves in whatever way you need!! I woke up on Saturday morning in the weirdest mood (probably because the sky was orange), and all around I felt stuffy and claustrophobic from having the windows shut all week. Sunday was made better with pumpkin waffles & a movie night with H (we watched Booksmart on Hulu – have you seen? I thought it was SO funny).

I wanted to share my dining and living room tours this week, but to be honest, the lighting hasn’t been great in our space because of the smoke ☹️ SO I decided I’d share my five recent Amazon purchases (that I recommend!). Hot take: you know how probably 85% of Seattleites have Amazon Prime? I don’t 😂 I only subscribe to Prime for a month when I have a ton of things I need to buy (i.e. when I’m moving into a new space) because I just want to refrain from buying things (that I maybe don’t really need) in general. Luckily, my roommate has Prime though, just in case I do need one or two things randomly. 😉

ONE // Honeywell Fan (White, Small)

I’m pretty late to the game on fans since moving to Seattle, considering summer is almost over. But my roommate’s fan has been a GODSEND during this fire and crazy heat. H graciously let me borrow hers because my room gets way hotter than hers for some reason. I decided I need to get my own so we both didn’t have to suffer anymore 😂 I think the small one is the perfect size for storage but also for use… like aiming the fan at your feet will cool you down immensely!! I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that heat escapes from the feet and the head the most??

TWO // Organic Lavender Flowers

If you missed my lavender whipped cream post, you wouldn’t know that I love lavender like no other. I bought these lavender flowers from Amazon because edible lavender is honestly kind of hard to find elsewhere? I think they sell some at Whole Foods or farmer’s markets, but I wasn’t about to venture out 😂 It’s a bit of a splurge but I only use a tiny bit every time! I think it’s so worth it for the perfect treat.

THREE // Cosori Air Fryer (White, 5.8QT)

If you told me back in June that I’d invest in an air fryer, I would’ve laughed. Air fryers seemed like the new household trendy item; my parents have one and swear by it, but even when I was back home, I wasn’t convinced of its usabilities. And then something about moving into my new apartment made me want to get one, haha. I researched pretty heavily and my criteria were that 1) the air fryer has to have non-toxic metal, 2) be somewhat large, 3) and bonus if it looks cute. The Cosori was the best one I found with fantastic reviews. Since purchasing, I’ve made sweet potato fries, roasted chickpeas, tofu, roasted zucchini… H and I are going to air fry shrimp next!

FOUR // Swedish Cellulose Sponge Cloths (White)

Okay HEAR me out: if you want to save the planet from more fires, you need to help the environment!! One of these easiest ways to do so? Reduce waste! My old roommate actually introduced these Swedish sponge clothes to me and I’m convinced these will save us from using paper towels. These cellulose sponges are reusable, machine-washable, and the best part? COMPOSTABLE. I could cry!! I really want to reduce waste in general, and this is just the start. I only use paper towels now to wipe off oil from pans – woohoo!

FIVE // Butterfly Sunglasses (Black + Black Tortoise)

This one’s a fun purchase; I’ve needed new sunglasses for awhile now and saw this BIG pair. I don’t like splurging on sunglasses because they somehow always end up getting lost, crushed, or scratched. This pair is so fun and glamorous, even if I’m just wearing them in my backyard.

That’s it! Let me know what you’ve purchased and loved on Amazon so far, I’m so curious!

Thanks for reading,

Jen xx
